Rent the Runway

What is it? In a quick summary, you can rent designer dresses for 4 days for a fraction of the cost. Ever buy a new dress for a wedding and never wear it again because you didn't want to have pictures wearing the same thing for different events? If so, this site is for you, not to mention, it is cheaper than buying a new dress. They will even send you an extra size for free to make sure it fits. I have a good friend (thanks Amanda Dunne!!) who has been using this site for weddings and showers, and I really wanted to see what it was all about.


Quick Tip: I joined for free (from the referral of a friend) and started browsing. I added a dress to my cart, but when I saw the shipping charges of $13 and the $5 insurance, it started adding up to more than I wanted to spend for that event. I logged off, and a few days later I received a $20 off coupon in my inbox! Score! Right then, I went on and ordered the dress for a summer party that we were attending.

I wore silver earrings and a silver cuff bracelet with it that I already owned. But, if you don't have any jewelry to match the dress you pick, you can also rent it! I also wore these really cute grey heels from Target that I bought a while back, but have only worn 2 other times! I got so many compliments on the shoes....it was hard not to tell people they were only $20! They come in several other colors as well, and were pretty comfortable. I wore them all night without getting a blister.

We had such a great time at David's Client Party!! It was really fun to see so many people that we don't see on a regular basis. We hope he makes it an annual event! Here is a link to more pictures from the evening.
