Big changes are coming soon

Our friend, Renee, mentioned that a friend is doing a kitchen renovation in her blog post about subway tile. I just love her post about subway tile and the beautiful bright white kitchens that she found! Such great inspiration! Especially considering that she was talking about us! That's right, in 1 week we will begin some big changes in the Carolina Brown house!

We only have 1 small window in our kitchen, but since the space outside the window is covered, it gets zero light. The rest of the lighting (1 overhead light) is not enough to see anything. We also have blue flooring in kitchen and blue carpets in the hallway where the 2 pantries? are located, old painted countetops (that I painted several years ago, and have surprisingly held up longer than I envisioned). Needless to say, even with the white cabinets that we are keeping (that I painted 3 years ago before we moved in) the kitchen is currently a dark uninspiring place, and we can't wait until February 1st when the work will begin. :)

So, here is a sneak peak at a couple of the decisions that we have already made.
